Not everyone has a brother who designs, builds and flies his own plane. But I do.
I designed a logo for his air plane business starting with a slightly slanted icon of his delta planes with their typical triangular shape.
The name had to be readable from a big distance, like from the ground to a plane in the sky. I chose a firm italic sans font and added some extra speed with 3 serifs at the top of the D P and A. The angles match with those in the icon.
When he was invited to show his extraordinary plane at an air fair in Germany, I designed a 36 m2 exhibition stand that could be completely rolled up and transported in his one-seater plane, which by itself then was the center piece of the expo.
